A set of super-Earths has been found orbiting one of our nearest stars, scientists say.

The planets could be among the best opportunities for finding life outside of our solar system, the researchers who discovered them say.

The system orbits around the star Gliese 887, the brightest red dwarf in the sky. That star is around 11 light years away.

Super-Earths like the newly found planets have a higher mass than the Earth but are much smaller than the ice giants of our solar system, Uranus and Neptune. They are a key target in the hunt for life on other worlds.

They found that the star appeared to be orbited by planets that have orbits that would give them years of just 9.3 and 21.8 days on Earth. That suggests the planets are moving very quickly around their star, faster even than Mercury.

Gliese 887 is also dimmer and smaller than our Sun, meaning that the planets could get much closer to the star while still being potentially habitable.

Compared to Earth, it only receives 2% of the amount of energy from its star that we get, which explains the expected cold temperatures of Barnard b. But the whole reason we think life on an Earth-sized world in a more temperature-friendly zone around a red dwarf star is no good is because a world like Proxima b receives far too much X-ray and ultraviolet radiation to even maintain an atmosphere, much less remain life-friendly.

  • Get a meal plan for a week or two at once to overcome the daily question: What should I cook today?
  • Make time every day, even if it’s 15 minutes, for relaxation and reflection. That will keep your ideas organized.

Sony has also released images of games to be released by Sony Interactive Entertainment, such as the racing game  Gran Turismo 7 . No release date is currently known.

The manufacturer has also lifted the veil on NBA 2K21, whose first trailer was revealed Thursday evening. NBA 2K games generally come out in the fall, but it’s unclear whether the new episode will be available only on the new PlayStation, or whether it will be possible to play it on the PS4. 

A Resident Evil for 2021

Another big announcement, the release in 2021 on the PS5 of Resident Evil 8 , which bears the name of Village . Little information has been released on the game but Capcom, the developer and publisher of the series, should say more in August.

1- Hydrate.

The body is made of about 75 percent water. The usual recommendation is eight glasses per day of fluid.

Good hydration is crucial for optimal health.

Drinking water instead of sugar-sweetened drinks is a simple way to limit your intake of sugar and excess calories. To heighten its taste, slices of citrus fruits may be added, as well as cucumber or herbs.

2- Consume more fruit and vegetable.

These make sure the body works well, help to protect it from diseases, and fight off illness. Colorful fruits and vegetables are generally rich in vitamins and antioxidants.

1- Limit intake sugar

World Health Organisation recommends that less than 5% of total energy intake for adults should come from free sugars (about 6 teaspoons). If you crave something sweet, fresh fruit should always be the priority.

2- Limit intake salt

The availability of fresh foods may decrease and it may, thus, become essential to rely more on canned, frozen, or processed foods. Many of these foods contain high levels of salt. 

Rinse canned foods such as vegetables and beans, to remove some of the excess sodium.

3- Limit intake fat

World Health Organisation suggests restricting total fat intake to less than 30% of total energy intake, of which no more than 10% should come from saturated fat.

To do this, opt for cooking methods that must less or no fat, such as steaming, grilling, instead of frying foods.

Create colorful meals with:

  • Green fruits and vegetables: broccoli, spinach, cabbage, lettuce, green beans, cucumbers, green apples, kiwi, green grapes, lime, avocado…
  • Orange and yellow fruits and vegetables: carrots, pumpkin, sweet corn, sweet potato, yellow apples, apricots, oranges, grapefruit, peaches…
  • Red fruits and vegetables: tomatoes, red cabbage, beets, red grapes, strawberries, watermelon, cherries, raspberries, cranberries, red apples…

A video of American actor Denzel Washington spread through social media to intervene to prevent the police from arresting a black homeless, after police officers handcuffed the homeless behind his back, although he did not commit any crime that required his arrest.

The video was shared by professional American basketball player Rex Chapman on Thursday through his official Twitter account.

The video events date back to May 21 in Los Angeles, where Washington was driving his car, and he saw a homeless black man on the side of the road, so he decided to help him and give him masks to wear for his health.

Meanwhile, a passerby recognized the well-known actor and called the police, who immediately attended and decided to arrest the black homeless man.

It was from Washington, however, that he set himself a barrier between the policemen and the homeless in an attempt to discourage them from his arrest, as the American representative insisted on the release of the man, and Washington put a large group of face gags in the pocket of the homeless man.

The police spokesman declined to comment to the press on the spread of the video, which had more than two million views in less than 24 hours.

But after the video spread, another police officer in the city explained the details on his personal account on Twitter.

The officer thanked the famous actor for trying to protect the black homeless and suppressing him, saying that this is a great job from someone who cares about people’s affairs, as Washington got out of his car and spoke with the homeless and gave him masks, and advised him to preserve himself and his health in the shadow of the Corona pandemic.

On Friday (May 29), less than a week after Floyd was suffocated by a Minneapolis police officer during an arrest, all three major record labels have shared a message on social media promising “a day to disconnect from work and reconnect with our community”.

The likes of Atlantic Records, Capitol Music Group, Columbia Records, Def Jam, Elektra Music Group, HitCo, Interscope Geffen A&M, Island Records, Pulse Music Group, Reservoir, Republic Records, Sony/ATV, Sony Music, Virgin EMI and Warner Records have all pledged to cease business activity on the day.

Earlier this week, a video of Floyd’s death surfaced showing Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin kneeling on the neck of Floyd for eight minutes. Chauvin was later charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter in the death of Floyd.
